Dear students, dear young friends,
welcome to the web pages of the Faculty of European Studies and Regional Development which was established in 2004 and which is the youngest Faculty of the SUA in Nitra.
The Faculty offers its students study programmes at the first, second and third levels of study in two study fields: 3.3.5 Public Administration and Regional Development and 4.3.3 Environmental Management.
The study programmes provided focus on preparing their graduates especially for work in public administration, public entities, project units and local government authorities both in Slovakia and abroad. Contents of all study programmes are significantly supported by teaching world languages with focus on project, communication and cooperation skills of students.
The aim of the pedagogical, scientific and research collective of our University and Faculty is, and will always be, to prepare high-quality graduates who will be successful in the labour market even in the strong competitive environment established in the European Union.
Yearly obtained international educational projects will enable you to realize mobilities at foreign universities. Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra and its Faculty of
European Studies and Regional Development are a member of an international consortium of universities of the European Union, through which they offer their students the possibility to obtain a joint diploma of International Master of Science in Rural Development. The consortium involves the following universities: coordinating Ghent University (Belgium), Humboldt University of Berlin (Germany), Agrocampus QUEST, Rennes (France), University of Pisa (Italy) and SUA in Nitra.
Student scientific activities and social practice play an irreplaceable role in the professional preparation of students as well. Professional excursions organized at the first level of study and professional training realized at the second level of study together with the self-education represent additional forms of preparation of students for their future employment.
To create complex optimum study conditions the Faculty uses its spatial and technical equipment.
You can spend your free time with club activities, in small stage forms and literary clubs, Zobor Folklore Association and many other forms of physical education and sport.
I believe that you will find both your second home at Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra and at our Faculty and a new living space in ancient Nitra.
