21.04.2026
On 13–14 April 2026, the final international partner meeting of the project “Education, Training and Innovations in Conversion to Organic Farming – ETICOF” (No. 2022-1-SK01-KA220-HED-000086079) was held at the premises of the AgroBioTech Research Centre of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra. The project is implemented under the Erasmus+ KA220 Cooperation Partnerships programme. The meeting was organised by the Faculty of European Studies and Regional Development of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, which also acts as the project coordinator. Representatives of the partner institutions – the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice (Czech Republic), Thüringer Ökoherz e.V. (Germany), the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (Hungary), and the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt (Germany) – also participated in the meeting.
The main objective of the meeting was to assess the current status of the implementation of all work packages, as well as to plan activities related to the finalisation of project results and the project’s closure.
During the meeting, the partners discussed in detail the activities carried out within individual work packages, the supporting documentation available for the activities already implemented, as well as the events yet to be delivered, including their specific deadlines. Among the planned project results, particular attention was paid to the final revisions of the practitioner’s handbook – the Farmer’s Guide developed under Work Package No. 5. The project coordinator informed the partners about the technical requirements for ensuring supporting documentation for individual events, project dissemination activities, as well as tasks related to project management, administration, and budget spending. The content of the final report, the methodology for its preparation, and the deadline for its submission to the National Agency were also discussed in detail.
The programme also included a field visit to the agricultural enterprise SEMA HŠ s.r.o. in Sládkovičovo. During the meeting with the company’s representatives, the partners were introduced to their experience with the conversion of the enterprise to organic farming. The expert discussion focused primarily on weed and pest control methods, crop harvesting, fertilisation, and soil management.
